A Business story that began with embroidery
Munira Komilova is an entrepreneur and the founder of a studio located in Yunusabad District of Tashkent. Her workshop specializes in creating exclusive clothing and elegant accessories, working in the fields of national embroidery, traditional patterns, and tailoring garments in both national and European styles. For Munira, this activity is not just a business—it is a way to preserve the rich cultural heritage of her people and continue it in a modern form through her work.
Munira’s love for embroidery began in her childhood. One day, she found an old embroidery machine among her relatives, and this moment became a turning point in her life. She became interested in the art of embroidery, and over time this curiosity grew into a deep passion. By the age of 12, she had already mastered the tambour embroidery technique. At that time, however, she could not have imagined that this craft would one day become her life’s profession and her own business.

Today, the atelier employs 6 full-time staff members, while another 8 artisans work on a home-based, contract basis. Each product is created with great attention to detail, taste, and craftsmanship. In the near future, there are plans to increase the number of employees to 100 and to launch export sales of finished products. These goals are expected to take the atelier to a new stage of development.
Munira highly values her experience of cooperation with the HAMROH company.
“HAMROH helped me greatly in formalizing the documents for a new building intended for my atelier. I also participated in trainings organized by HAMROH. These trainings significantly contributed to improving my management and entrepreneurial skills, clearly defining my development strategy, increasing my confidence, and gaining important professional knowledge,” says Munira.
Munira never hesitates to share her knowledge and experience with others. She gladly teaches women the secrets of embroidery and the basics of running a business. Today, she takes sincere pride in the fact that some of her students have already opened their own ateliers and are successfully running independent businesses.
