Women Entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan participate in WorldFood Istanbul 2025 International Exhibition
WorldFood Istanbul 2025: New opportunities for women Entrepreneurs

From September 2 to 5, 2025, participants of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Support Program (WESP) — implemented by Hamroh Company in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and supported by The Coca-Cola Company — took part in the 33rd International Food Products & Processing Technologies Exhibition, WorldFood Istanbul 2025, held in Türkiye.
WorldFood Istanbul is a leading international platform that brings together food producers, distributors, retail representatives, and industry experts from over 40 countries. It serves as an important hub for entering global markets and establishing promising business connections.
The delegation included women entrepreneurs from various regions of Uzbekistan working in bakery and confectionery production, fruit and vegetable processing, fisheries, and the food service industry. With the support of The Coca-Cola Company, these participants attended the prestigious international exhibition for the first time, gaining first-hand insights into global food industry trends, modern packaging solutions, and strategies for entering foreign markets.

A key highlight of the visit was the participants’ establishment of connections with potential partners, which will help expand their export opportunities and support further business development.
At the end of the trip, the delegation visited the Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) plant located in Çorlu, Türkiye. Established in 1997, the facility covers an area of 127,000 m² and is equipped with 8 filling lines and 8 injection molding machines. It produces well-known beverages such as Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, and Fuse Tea. With an annual production capacity of 100 million packages, the plant is one of the key suppliers in the region.
The facility received a Zero Waste Certificate in 2020 and launched its first 4.8 MW wind turbine in 2023, demonstrating the company’s commitment to sustainability and efficiency.
During the visit, participants were introduced to advanced management practices, employee training systems, principles of sustainable development, quality control, and food safety assurance processes. The experience served as a valuable source of new knowledge and ideas for their future business growth.

One of the most inspiring meetings for the delegation was a discussion with representatives of the “My Sister Project”, supported in Türkiye by the Coca-Cola Foundation. The program helps women not only develop their business skills through mentorship and grants, but also strengthen their active participation in society and the economy.
